Client Background – Who is ECOS?

ECOS is a full‑stack Bitcoin mining platform that connects real mining infrastructure to retail and institutional investors. Unlike "just another mining site", ECOS operates its own 200+ MW data center in Armenia, with regulatory approvals, industrial power contracts, and real hardware on the ground.

What ECOS Offers

  • Cloud mining contracts for beginners
  • Direct ASIC purchases for professional miners
  • ASIC rentals for "try before you own"
  • Marketplace to buy/sell hosted ASICs
  • Enterprise mining solutions for institutions

Who Their Customers Are

  • Retail crypto investors starting from ~$150
  • Serious mining operators scaling fleets
  • Funds and institutional desks looking for BTC yield
  • High‑net‑worth individuals diversifying into mining

The Problem – Product Complexity, Not Tech

Like many large crypto companies, ECOS didn't have a "tech problem". They had a product and UX problem: a powerful underlying business that was hard to understand, navigate, and trust from the outside.

Key Challenges

  • Extremely complex product ecosystem under one brand
  • Cloud mining, ASIC purchases, rentals, and marketplace all mixed
  • Mining concepts hard to explain to non‑technical users
  • High drop‑off from "curious" to "committed"
  • Too much crypto jargon, not enough investor language
  • No structured journey from $150 user to $500K+ institution

Business Pain

  • Users overwhelmed by options and terminology
  • Low trust and high friction for first‑time visitors
  • Hard to compare products or understand trade‑offs
  • Conversion funnels not explicit or measurable
  • Digital experience not matching real‑world scale of infra

ECOS had real hashpower, real licenses, and real users — but the front‑end experience didn't communicate that clearly enough.

The Vision

“Create a world‑class digital platform that makes Bitcoin mining accessible, understandable, and investable for everyone — from $150 beginners to $500K+ institutions.”

Simplify Mining

Make mining feel like an investment product, not a hardware hobby.

Clarify Funnels

Build distinct product funnels for cloud, ASICs, rentals, marketplace, and enterprise.

Build Trust

Use financial language, visual ROI, and transparent risk messaging to earn trust.

Our Role – Product Experience Engineering

This engagement was not "design us a website". It was product experience engineering for a live, regulated, revenue‑generating platform.

What We Owned

  • Corporate and product website experience
  • Product architecture and information hierarchy
  • Conversion funnels for each product line
  • End‑to‑end user journeys (beginner → pro → enterprise)
  • Mining calculators and ROI simulator UX
  • Enterprise lead and consultation flow

How We Worked

  • Deep discovery with product, marketing, and operations teams
  • Mapping offline infrastructure and contracts into digital funnels
  • Prototyping and validating flows with real user behaviors
  • Close collaboration with ECOS engineering for data & metrics

The Solution – Full Platform Breakdown

We re‑framed ECOS as a unified financial platform built around five core product lines, each with its own funnel, persona, and pricing logic.

1. Unified Product Platform

Instead of one generic "mining" page, we structured ECOS around five clear products:

  1. Cloud Mining
  2. ASIC Purchase
  3. ASIC Rental
  4. ASIC Marketplace
  5. Enterprise Solutions

Each product has its own buyer persona, pricing logic, and conversion path, which we made explicit in the IA and screen flows.

2. Cloud Mining Experience (Beginners)

Cloud mining is the entry point for most new users. Our job was to turn a complex mining contract into something that feels like a clear, visual investment product.

We designed a flow that answers: "What am I buying? What do I earn? What are the risks?"

  • Entry‑level onboarding flow starting from ~$150
  • ROI calculator with contract duration, BTC price, and difficulty assumptions
  • Interactive mining simulator to visualize daily/weekly/monthly rewards
  • Clear pricing tiers and contract structures (hashrate, term, fees)
  • FPPS protocol explained in investor language, not mining jargon
  • Prominent risk disclaimers and volatility explanations

Input: $150 · Term: 24 monthsOutput: Visual BTC reward curve

Goal: turn non‑technical users into confident crypto investors, not speculate blindly.

3. ASIC Purchase System (Serious Miners)

For users ready to own hardware, we treated ASICs like income‑generating assets, not just SKUs in a shop.

We designed product pages and flows that focus on real mining output, not just specs.

  • ASIC comparison tables with hashrate, efficiency, power, and noise
  • Realistic monthly profit projections with cost assumptions
  • Hosting model explained: ECOS operates and maintains the hardware
  • Ownership logic: user owns the ASIC, ECOS hosts and operates it
  • Daily BTC payout logic, wired to app and dashboard views

4. ASIC Rental System (Test Users)

ASIC rentals let users experience mining yields without owning hardware. We treated this like a "trial investment" with very explicit terms.

  • Rental plan cards with hashrate, duration, and expected output
  • Duration models with clear start/end dates
  • ROI projections with best‑case / base‑case / stress scenarios
  • Exit strategy messaging (what happens when rental ends)
  • Positioned as "low‑commitment way to learn" for test users

Message: "Test mining, no hardware ownership"Onboarding → plan → payout

Purpose: bridge curious users into more serious mining products without forcing a big upfront decision.

5. ASIC Marketplace – A Trading System

The ASIC marketplace is not a basic "store". It's a secondary market for mining equipment with performance and history attached.

  • Buy working, hosted ASICs from ECOS or other users
  • Sell hosted ASICs with on‑chain and performance history
  • Attach mining stats, uptime, and revenue history to each unit
  • Instant liquidity paths for miners needing to exit positions
  • Positioned as a trading system for mining assets

6. Enterprise Solutions Funnel (Institutions)

Institutions don't want a "cloud mining site". They want an infrastructure and compliance partner. We built a dedicated funnel and narrative for them.

  • Institutional landing pages with high‑trust messaging
  • Segregated custody and risk language, not retail hype
  • ESG and energy sourcing story (data center specifics)
  • Custom reporting and governance flows
  • $500K+ consultation and deal‑structuring request forms

This positions ECOS as an institutional‑grade mining provider, not just a retail app.

Mobile App Integration

The web experience had to align tightly with the ECOS mobile apps, where most users monitor miners, rewards, and balances.

iOS & Android Alignment

  • Consistent terminology between web and app (contracts, rewards, hashrate)
  • Shared mental model of "portfolio" across contracts and ASICs
  • Flows that start on web (research) and continue in app (monitoring)
  • Clear signposting from web pages to app store downloads

What Users Can Do On‑the‑Go

  • Monitor miners and cloud contracts
  • Track daily BTC rewards, balances, and payouts
  • Manage ASICs (status, uptime, revenue)
  • Withdraw earnings and adjust reinvestment behavior

Product UX Strategy

This is where ECOS stops looking like a "crypto project" and starts looking like a fintech product. We deliberately treated ECOS like an investment platform with compliance and risk baked in.

Strategic UX Decisions

  • Remove as much crypto‑native jargon as possible
  • Use financial language (contracts, yield, duration, risk)
  • Show ROI visually with ranges, not promises
  • Explain downside and volatility upfront
  • Progressive onboarding: from "what is mining?" to contract selection
  • Product‑led storytelling instead of static marketing copy

Why This Matters

  • Aligns the UX with a regulated, real‑money environment
  • Makes ECOS legible to traditional investors and institutions
  • Builds long‑term trust instead of short‑term hype
  • Reduces support load from confused users

We treated ECOS like a financial investment platform, not a crypto toy.

High‑Level Tech Stack

ECOS already had substantial backend systems. Our work sat at the intersection of frontend experience and backend mining/financial data.

Frontend

  • Modern JS framework (Next.js‑style)
  • High‑performance UI with Tailwind‑like utility styling
  • Interactive calculators and mining simulators
  • Real‑time dashboards for contracts and hashrate

Backend (ECOS Side)

  • Mining data feeds and pool integrations
  • ASIC performance metrics and uptime data
  • Blockchain verification for payouts and ownership
  • Payment systems and user account management

Integrations

  • Mining pools and reward protocols (e.g. FPPS)
  • ASIC inventory and logistics systems
  • Wallet and payout systems
  • App sync for mobile views and notifications

Results & Impact

ECOS already had traction. Our work was about unlocking more of it by making the product stack legible and investable.

Business Impact

What We Were Really Designing

  • Not a website — a global financial interface
  • A product that has to stand up to compliance, risk, and due diligence
  • UX patterns that work for both retail and institutional capital
  • Storytelling that holds up in a data room, not just on a landing page

Client Perspective

"1world.dev helped us transform a complex mining ecosystem into a user‑friendly, scalable financial platform. They didn't just update our website — they rebuilt how our products are explained, compared, and purchased. The result was a dramatic improvement in user experience and conversion performance across our key product lines."
